As we get into the winter months, the number of homes sold typically slows down until February in the Grand Forks and Christina Lake areas. This year was no exception as we saw only 2 single family homes sell in the region in the month of December. The Grand Forks and Christina Lake have a healthy inventory of affordable homes offering potential buyers a good choice of homes to choose from. The average sale price for a single family home was up 21.5% in December 2019 when compared to the same period last year. This number is skewed when compared to the overall market due to the small number of homes sold in the month of December.
